Me and My City tutoring days
During the Me and My City day we mostly spent it in our given business. Our main aim was to guide the children in our business booths and to help them whenever it was needed. It was important for us to be present at the place all the time and know how to interact with them, so they wouldn't feel lost in their tasks.
What did we learn? What were the ways of learning?
In the Me&My City working day, we learned about everyday working life, even though we were there as tutors. We could observe what a daily working day would look like for employers or employees. It was interesting to see how youngsters portrayed their roles in the business that they were in.
During the day, there were some matters that were important while working in the group businesses. A successful business had good group working skills; such as great team spirit where everyone was encouraged to do their best and good communication so no one felt left out. Not only was it important for the employees and employers in the same business to be able to communicate between each other, but as well with other workers from other companies. For employers the best quality that they had to have was the ability to listen to others opinions in their group business and other employers that were present in meetings.
Lastly, a necessary group working skill that was seen during the day was: everyone contributing to the goals and the must-do work equally. If there were a few who performed their best and others only sat by the side, it would limit the team's effectiveness.
